IBPS Clerk Exam Pattern 2016 Check Details

IBPS Clerk Exam Pattern 2016 will be followed while preparing the question paper for the exam. The candidates those who have applied for the exam can go through this article and gather the details for the examination pattern. This article provides all the important details for the examination pattern followed in IPBS Clerk exam.


The exam will be conducted in two phases. First the prelim exam will be conducted and then the main exam. The candidates those who qualify the prelim exam will only be allowed to appear in the main exam. As per the IBPS Clerk 2016 Exam Pattern, there will be a total of 200 questions in the main exam. The candidates will be provided 2 hours or 120 minutes to complete their exam. The questions will be objective type questions. The candidates will have to choose the correct answer from the given options. 

These 200 questions will be divided into five different sections. These sections are Reasoning, Numerical Ability, General Awareness, English Language and Computer Knowledge. Each section will be having 40 questions each.

As far as the Exam Pattern of IBPS Clerk Exam for the prelim exam is considered, there will be three sections in the exam. Total time of 1 hour or 60 minutes will be provided to the candidates to complete their exam. Total of 100 questions will be asked in the exam. The sections in the exam will be Reasoning Ability, Numerical Ability and English Language. 

Negative marking will also be applicable for the exam. There will be a negative marking of 0.25 mark for each and every incorrect answer. The candidates must leave the question if they are not sure about the answer.
